THE LINEAGE OF REIKI JIN KEI DO & BUDDHO
“Lineages are the carriers of ancient wisdom. In every great tradition, the shamans, the healers, the yogis, the wise women of the mystery schools, the great rabbis or desert fathers, live within their lineage. Lineage and tradition are the sacred containers for preserving practices and wisdom that have been discovered and accumulated over generations. Lineages are the form through which the light of awakening is passed from one generation to the next."
Jack Kornfield from 'A Path with Heart'.
The concept of lineage is often overlooked or ignored in contemporary Western expressions of Reiki, yet it is a concept that goes to the heart of the system. In the lineage of Reiki Jin Kei Do, which encompasses the practice of Buddho, 'lineage' is considered to be critical to the continuation of the tradition's teachings.
