If you are drawn to energy work that feels purposeful, rooted, and grounded in tradition, this training offers a clear and structured way in. Reiki Jin Kei Do is a lineage-based tradition shaped by mindfulness, compassion, and deep internal practice. While it includes energy healing, its reach goes much further into how you perceive, how you relate, and how you grow from within.
You won’t be asked to adopt new beliefs. Instead, you will be encouraged to engage with the methods through direct experience, where energy becomes a gateway to greater clarity, emotional steadiness, and profound self-awareness.
Whether this is your first step or part of a longer journey, this path offers structure and depth designed to support lasting transformation within your practice and throughout your life.

This BBC interview with Adam Mountford was recorded in 1997, at a very early stage in my teaching journey. It gives a snapshot of how I first came to Reiki and why it became such a central part of my life and work. I wouldn’t necessarily stand by everything I said back then, so take some of it with a pinch of salt, but it remains a useful window into the roots of my practice and the values that continue to shape my teaching today.
The Reiki Jin Kei Do pathway unfolds in three stages. Each of the first two levels include two days of in-depth training (online or in person), lineage-based materials, and post-training support to help you integrate the work into your daily life. Level 3 is split into three parts to make it more easily accessible. Part A (two days training) covers the non-teaching part of Level 3 and can realistically be considered as a stand-alone extension to Level 2. Part B (two days training) covers the teaching of Levels 1 and 2. Part C (one days training) covers the teaching of Level 3 itself.
This level introduces you to Reiki Jin Kei Do through direct empowerments and hands-on instruction in the core self-treatment and treatment practices. You’ll learn how to sense and follow the flow of Reiki without trying to direct it, and how to hold attention with stillness during practice. This stage is about developing steadiness, learning the forms clearly, and beginning to observe energy transmission through deep awareness. You’ll also begin to understand the historical and philosophical roots of the system, including its connection to meditative traditions.
In Level II, you’ll receive the second set of empowerments and begin working with sacred symbols. These are not used mechanically, but as thresholds into deeper perception. You’ll learn how to transmit Reiki beyond direct contact, across distance, across time, and how to bring the symbols into practice with accuracy, sensitivity, and reverence. This is also where breath and mantra are introduced as tools for refining focus and entering subtler energetic states.
Level III focuses on preparing you to hold the lineage and teach responsibly. You’ll learn how to offer empowerments, how to transmit the teachings with clarity, and how to support others on the path while remaining rooted in your own experience. This stage is not just about passing on information, it’s about cultivating the depth, steadiness, and insight needed to carry the work forward with integrity. Mentorship and integration support are built into the process.
This system traces its roots from Mikao Usui through to Seiji Takamori and Dr. Ranga Premaratna and remains one of the few Reiki traditions that maintains a clear, intact lineage. Its foundations lie in Buddhist principles, subtle awareness, and disciplined inner work.
The approach is steady, intentional, and refined through decades of lived practice. The training is led by a teacher who has walked this path deeply and offers guidance from a place of care, clarity, and commitment to the tradition.
This course offers a path for deepening your connection to insight, energetic awareness, and a clear sense of direction. Reiki Jin Kei Do supports a return to what feels steady and true, and helps you carry that clarity into everyday life.
If you’re drawn to explore this system more deeply, you’ll find a path that supports you with structure, lineage, and grounded guidance.
If you’d like to get a sense of what this path offers before committing to training, the Reiki Jin Kei Do book is a great place to begin. It’s a thoughtful, experience-based guide that brings the deeper principles of this tradition to life.
